Restaurant Reviews

Compared to ten or fifteen years ago, Ireland now has a wealth of restaurants which offer quality food, using locally-sourced, seasonal ingredients and often at very affordable prices.

Whether looking for a fine dining experience or something a little more casual, there is something for everyone. In this regard, it is great to find that fine dining is not only the preserve of the wealthy; many top-end restaurants offer great lunch and early-bird menus for a fraction of the price of their à la carte menus. These restaurants are now far more accessible to the ordinary diner seeking a memorable dining experience.

It is also wonderful that great food can be found all around the country, not just in the cities. People are prepared to travel to experience good food and some of Ireland’s top restaurants can be found in small towns and in the countryside.

I am lucky to have the opportunity to try out many of these restaurants and to write about my experiences which, in the main, have been very positive. It is not my aim to post damning or controversial and negative reviews. The reviews should not be about me but rather the food and the restaurants that I have dined in.
